ISO

ISO resins are condensation polymers manufacturated by reaction of maleic anhydride and diacid (isophthalic acid) on polyol (glycols) then diluted in styrene. Isophthalic resins are used where high hydrolysis and thermal resistance is needed especially for the production of pipes and tanks and for marine applications. Polynt Isophthalic acid-based resins are used in applications that require higher mechanical properties and a higher degree of corrosion resistance when exposed to chemical and water environments. Iso resins are slightly stronger and have a higher heat distortion temperature. These properties make iso resins ideal for corrosion-resistant applications, such as chemical tanks and process equipment. Iso resins are also excellent for many tooling applications.
