Set up of Polynt’s chemical division

Alusuisse S.A acquires the chemical company, Lonza AG, and creates a Chemistry Division which Polynt joins. As part of this division, the Company carries out development activities relating to dibasic acids and their derivatives, with particular reference to polymer intermediates. In this period, it starts to produce new derivatives based on phthalic anhydride (such as, for example, fumaric acid) and on maleic anhydride (such as esters and special anhydrides).
