COMPOSITES
Composite materials have the following characteristics:
- they consist of two or more materials of different kinds;
 - almost two of these materials have different physical properties “sufficiently” different from one another, to impart different properties to the composite from those of the constituents.

To obtain a composite with high mechanical resistance is essential, in addition to the use of fiber-resistant, ensuring good adhesion between the matrix and the reinforcement.
The reinforcements used in polymer matrix composites are glass, carbon and fibers.
There are several production process of composite materials . The most popular are:
- manual drafting
 - resin transfer molding (RTM)
 - filament winding
 - pultrusion
 - vacuum infusion
 - centrifugal casting
 - Closed molding compounds process
 - autoclave molding
